THE WELL

The Wellness Passport exists to encourage, uplift, and strengthen the local community through shared participation in wellness-related experiences and to drive traffic for local wellness businesses. We love Passport season each year, and we want to bring it to you year-round. Introducing: The Well, a monthly membership program (available through Patreon) that offers exclusive content and opportunities to The Well customers. Currently only offered in Birmingham — if you would like this in your city, contact us today!

  • What is the Wellness Passport and how much does it cost?
    A 9-week session in your city that gives you access to many fitness studios and wellness businesses. You will receive free classes (studios) and deep discounts (wellness businesses), along with other perks throughout the session. Many businesses offer Passport holders post-Passport discounts as well. The Passport costs only $111 (less than one month of a membership at any local studio!). You get tons of free classes, discounts, and exclusive benefits for much less than you would pay for one month at just one gym!
  • What is included in my Passport?
    Gyms/studios typically give away 3-6 classes, and wellness businesses offer discounted or free services.
  • What cities is the Passport in?
    Currently, we offer the Passport in Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, and Huntsville. Want us in your city? Drop us a note at hello@the-wellnesspassport.com and let us know.
  • When is the next Passport session?
    The next Passport session in Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, and Huntsville will take place Sept 1-Nov 2, 2025!
  • What is the Well and what is its role in the Passport?
    The Well is our membership service ($8/month) in *Birmingham ONLY*. Well members get to buy their Passport early, and get access to a bunch of extra classes during the Passport. Year-round, they have monthly access to specials with two of our Passport businesses. You can join anytime by clicking “The Well” tab on the website or the link in our Instagram bio.
  • Do I get a physical Passport or is this done online?
    With your purchase, you’ll receive access to our digital passport—available through your city’s exclusive Wellness Passport site—along with a physical stamp book to be picked up locally. Each time you visit a participating business, you’ll collect a Passport stamp, earning entries toward exciting prizes at the end of the season. Details on where and how to pick up your physical passport will be provided after purchase.
  • Do I or my team get a Passport as a participating business? How do we redeem it?
    Yes! Each participating business is eligible to redeem one free Owner Passport. Additionally, your staff will receive a special discount on their Passports. Detailed redemption information will be shared with your team as the Passport launch approaches.
  • How do I get the Passport after I order?
    You will receive an email with details on how to access your digital passport. In addition, you will receive pickup details to get your physical stamp book.
  • How do I redeem the Passport offerings?
    Because the participating businesses use different softwares for registering, a uniform way to redeem is not available at the moment (but we’re working on it!). Your digital Passport includes details on how to redeem your offering at each business. It takes a little strategy, but that’s the fun part!
  • Is this a year-round initiative?
    Each participating city holds a 9-week session at a specific time of year. You must participate during that session to take advantage of the Passport. *BIRMINGHAM ONLY* You can join the Well, our monthly membership, year-round. Each month you receive access to two of our Passport businesses, a free recipe, early access to purchase the Passport, access to exclusive classes during Passport season, and more.
  • What happens if I lose my stamp book?
    Each season, we print a limited run of physical stamp books based on the number of participants. That being said, treat your stamp book like you’d treat a real passport! If something happens and your stamp book is lost, reach out to our team for next steps. Please expect a reprint fee and a turnaround time to get your new booklet.
  • I bought a Passport but I can't participate anymore. Can I get a refund?
    Passports are nonrefundable. However, you can sell your passport to someone else if you’d like. Just let us know so we have their info to communicate with!
  • I'm a business and want to be included.

  • How do we (as a business) stamp Passports?
    It’s totally up to you! You can use a stamp, sticker, initials—whatever works best for your business. Just keep it consistent. The new Passport layout doesn’t dedicate one page per business, so a uniform method makes tracking smoother for everyone.
  • What are the raffle prizes and post Passport prizes? How valuable is it to offer these?
    Extremely valuable! Raffle prizes are a fun way to keep Passport holders engaged with your business during and after Passport season. They help drive traffic, boost brand awareness, and give people a reason to return—even after they’ve filled their Passports.
